Bob Patterson aka Bogey - bio
Bob Patterson was born and raised in Georgia, and is a true Southern rocker at heart. Bob and his band perform blues, classic and southern country rock. Recently, he recorded a cd "Just Another Lesson Learned" at Dumpster Chicken Studio. An exceptional vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, Bob continues to perform throughout the Atlanta and Cherokee County area as a solo artist and with a full band. He finds playing and performing his music for family and friends to be one of the most satisfying things in life. Bob is just a Simple Southern Man who loves God, life, music and his fellow man. http//www.myspace.com/simplesouthernman
The Thrillhammers - bio
The Thrillhammers have been blasting Rock and Roll for more than 20 years. The guys rip through a collection of originals, torqued-out covers and the occasional satirical mocker. With a nod to the late 60s, early 70's bands, but firmly aware that punk DID happen, the band melds it all together much the way their fellow southern troubadours The Georgia Satellites do on any given night. Part Rolling Stones ...Part George Jones. The Thrillhammers are right at home on a loud, smoky stage. http://www.myspace.com/thethrillhammers
Nurtured in Purple - bio
With so many genres in today’s music, for Nurtured In Purple, hard rock seems a simple enough tag. Self described as throwing down in the pocket funk/rock beats, POD to Rush, Flea Paul Jones is playing a 6 string bass and Jimmy Page falling down a flight of stairs mid solo. Their poetry gets pretty deep because it comes from the heart, but you might chuckle at a dorky outburst, or the eclectic character of some of the songs. There is an articulate rock vocal delivery; yes you can hear the words. This power trio is a ground-shaking live act with a clear, positive message that connects with many audiences.
Most recently, Nurtured In Purple played a label showcase during GMA week in Nashville and have secured multiple artist endorsements,. Their music was featured in one of the entries of the 48-hour film project 2007 in Atlanta. Currently, the band is working on a full-length cd at EOA studios in Atlanta.

The Cherokee County Music Society will also honor our veterans at the event with a small token in appreciation of their service to our country.
The purpose of the CCMS showcase is to create more public and music business awareness for some of the finest talent originating in Cherokee County. The event is being promoted throughout the metro Atlanta area as well as in Cherokee County. The CCMS has already sponsored two highly successful Songwriters Nights in Cherokee County and is planning a third for December 9th at The Place.
The Cherokee County Music Society's mission statement is to create opportunities for musicians, songwriters, industry professionals, and music-related merchants within Cherokee County by developing more opportunities to increase visibility while preserving integrity and striving for excellence in the music community; to create more awareness about the music community within Cherokee County; and to create more educational opportunities for songwriters and musicians within Cherokee County.
The Cherokee County Music Society was formed in January, 2007 by founding members Sandy Serge and Mark Waterbury, both Cherokee County, Georgia residents. Both founding members have been active in the music industry for a significant number of years and work for the Serge Entertainment Group, a Cherokee County music business.
